Directed by: David Hutson April 2006
Fools is the tale of
a fictitious Russian village suffering from a 200 year old curse that
renders every man, woman, and domestic animal illiterate, doomed never to
have an intellect greater than a knot on a log. As a bonus the curse doesn't
allow them to leave the village, no wonder the train doesn't stop there.
Their only hope lies with a young school teacher brought there to teach the
beautiful young Sophia Zubritsky, who isn't smart enough to even know the
difference between a cow and a duck. Not that that's an easy subject, mind
you. But if he can raise her intellect the curse will be broken, but there's
a catch. He has only 24 hours to do so, and if he fails he falls victim to
the curse himself, becoming just as stupid as the rest of the village.
