Daddy Bud has passed away sudden like. This slightly off center southern family is left to plan the funeral, decide what to put on the headstone, and deal with their friends and relations problems, failures, and covered dishes. Dearly Departed is filled with the kind of warm southern humor that makes us pull out the "You might be a redneck if..." jokes, laugh at the characters, ourselves, and put our own troubles aside for a little while.
